Personality issues

'I was born this way' is the quote many people follow to possibly avoid the fact of reflecting about one's own personality. Other people say 'character is what distinguishes one person from another'. Have you heard what people say about your personality? How have they describe you? Have you actually thought about those aspects that distinguish you? If you could distinguish some of your good traits from the ones you consider less favorable, what changes or adjustments would be necessary to improve your personality behavior and possibly make you a better person?

Safety matters

Living in Mexico city has brought us into a point in which matters related to the attainment of a better coexistence have lead to bigger discussions nationwide. It is a fact that our society has been bombed with media stories related to crime, violence, corruption, disloyalty etc. However, the point of it all should not be focused on facts we all know. Opposite to that, wouldn't it be better to focus on the 'hows' & 'whats'? How to transform a society in decadence? How to turn evil into goodness? How to dismantel what is wrong? What can be implemented to change attitude? What can be done? What do you think?

Love and friendship... where is the line?

It has been a while since last time I posted something to discuss about. This time, I would like to open our conversation with a topic that, even it's been long discussed, still intrigues me. Im sure we all have seen films about it, read books and stories related to it but the questions is still in the air.... Is it possible to have a very, very, very gooood friend, grow and nurture a close relationship and not to fall in loved with him/her? Is it possible to see the line between friendship and attraction? If one person starts having feelings towards that friend, is it worth telling him/her about it? Could that friendship be ruined? Humm... what do you all think?

Concepts & ideas

Freedom, respect, equity, democracy, love, peace, friendship, forgiveness, success, happiness, ambition are only some examples of concepts - built through ideas and experiences - expressed in the conduct of all human kind. For me, I think that respect and freedom are essential. Respect nature, other people and ourselves! Of course, freedom to do, speak, be, love, achieve whatever we want. Can you tell us which of the above concepts are meaningful for you and why?

An amazing adventure!!

It's said that experiences shape us. Whether they are good, bad, exciting, hilarious, intense, no matter the type, experiences transform who we are.

I remember a personal journey three years ago to the hidden Inca city of Machupichu in Peru. Getting to the city was a total challenge. From Cusco, it took hours ridding a van, then hours on a bus, then waiting for the night train to reach the city of Aguascalientes, where the climbing would start. While climbing, it rainned so hard that our clohtes got sooo heavy that it was so hard to give a step up. The two hours hiking turned into four. Finally, we reached the top, got into the Inca city, all covered with clouds and suddenly, there it was! Beautiful! Hidden! On the top! This experience made me understand the concept of 'perseverance', not to give up, not to surrender .... Get what you want!
