ReplyDeleteWhen I look for information I prefer to search on the internet or in books, it depends on how I use it, for example, when my teachers give me homework on an investigation, I prefer to look for the information in books or in recognized newspapers because the information is more real and secure than on the internet, but when I have a question at the moment, I search on the internet because I get a faster answer and there are many results besides that I always have my phone with me while I never have a book or newspaper at the moment.
One of a difficult question that I have is, why the earth is round? And I finded on internet that the earth is round because The field of gravity, of a body with mass, goes in all direction and makes the earth spherical.

ReplyDeleteWhen I look for information about something I usually do it online and try to research in safe sources.
One of the most difficult question to solve is: Where is Cleopatra's grave is? I have seen many documentaries about it of archaelogists, who have spend their lives lookin for it, but any is still unknown. It's believed that it could be found west of Alexandria in Taposiris Magna, but there are many hypotheses, another of these theories says that she was cremated and her ashes are buried in Alexandria.
When they find her, the whole world will be very interested in knowing and visit her grave.
The most reliable information about your search is from the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
I think it is one of the most enigmatic places in the world.

ReplyDeleteTo find information depends a lot on the type of information I'm looking for and what I want it for. For example, for quick or curious facts I love to ask Siri or Alexa because it finds the information for you and tells you instantly. For academic information I like to search on the internet for pdfs from recognized and reliable authors. For things that I don't know how to do or that are difficult for me I like to look for video tutorials on youtube and finally for entertainment searches I just look them up on google.
One of the most difficult questions I have asked myself is about the conspiracy theories about the assassination of US president John F Kennedy, I have seen several reports and documentaries that talk about these theories but I have not found conclusive information to support these theories.

When I look for information for a research work, I prefer to consult the books of the university library because it's easier to find the titles of my interest. I also like to consult articles in digital libraries and it's one of the easiest ways to find information about what you are looking for. Generally in economic research, newspapers are one of the best sources of information because they bring statistical data of the day such as when the stock market closed or the new reforms to monetary policy.
Also whenever I am looking for statistical data, I consult official websites such as INEGI or the World Bank because it is the safest way to search for reliable information. I've always thought that the only problem with looking for information on the internet is knowing how to search.

ReplyDeleteCurrently the libraries are not open, so I usually look for information in sources that are reliable on the internet, for example with the google academics search engine, virtual books, scientific articles, or even theses. Another source is YouTube. There are a lot of channels with good information and videos with which you can learn about everything. Maybe some of the questions that make me think the most are; Are there more life forms in the galaxy? Am I what I wanted to be when I was a kid? What was the first; the egg or the chicken? but I think no one of these questions has an answer for now.

ReplyDeleteWhen I look for information i prefer search in books, magazines, encyclopedia, and the last resource is the internet, because i think the information in there is not dependable, and i have had bad experiences looking for information on the internet.
When I was in highschool, i used to looking for information on WIKIPEDIA, and usually my homeworks was wrong and my teachers told me that website was a very bad option to search information.
One of the more difficult questions that i have searched on the internet has been, what happen after to die.
I am not sure what happen after to die, if there's another life, really exist the sky?
Or maybe everything ends when someone dies.
I think it is the more difficult question, i have read many answers, and those don't convince me, i think i have to live that experience, and, if i can return after to die, obviously i will write about it.
I just hope be okay, and don't looks like a crazy man.

ReplyDeleteWhen I have to search information for my homework or just for curiosity my first option is google, but in sites that are reliable. UNAM magazine is a great resource because all the investigations were made for experts and scientists.
My favorite way to find information is when I asked directly to experts who knows a lot of the topic and I can find answer to my doubts.
The mos difficult question that I have is: mermaids are real? are they shy? why I have not seen a mermaid before?
I watched many documentaries about that and shows how the USA government confiscated videos or researches in the sea and I think that is suspicious. I want to know the truth :(

ReplyDeleteIn my law classes I have to look for reliable and truthful information constantly, I have to research the doctrine of law, since it is a very important basis in the study of law, in the personal I feel that the internet is not a reliable source because I have seen that the information on websites is not the same as in books. That is why I prefer to look in books, whether they are in the school library or buy the books in a bookstore, of course, I look for authors on the internet and the availability of the book, this information I always find on the website of the bookstore, but in practical cases it is very useful for me to use the internet, since the government portals are constantly updated, it is important to know how to recognize the false information that the internet offers, always look for reliable sources is the way to make the internet a reliable and safe site.
A difficult question on my mind is, will there be a vaccine against the human immunodeficiency virus?
There is talk in the news about the testing of Mosaic, the first HIV vaccine to reach Phase 3 and that causes some optimism, in addition to the fact that it will be tested in several countries, and Mexico is on the list.
Looking for information is a hard work because you have to corroborate in different sources, for example when I need to find undeniable data, I use to search in academics platforms or in the UNAM virtual library, sometimes Google Academic is a good option but for me it is very difficult discovery adequate results. When I used to have a presential classes I went to library and I could research in several books, but it has always been problematic for me to obtain concrete results, so I need to improve the search form.
ReplyDeleteThe hardest question to answer was asked by my friend, she told me: did you know that the moon is a human creation? I didn’t believe that, but she tried to convince me with many arguments, for example she said that in a many ancient poems and writings where the authors explain that out of nowhere a bright object appeared in the sky.

ReplyDeleteWhen I'm looking information about anything, I usually use the internet and here's were I look for another resources like digital books, maybe some videos on Youtube (and by the way, the videos can be really helpful), if the information that I'm looking for is for some homework or something about school, I like to search for some academic investigations works. Or even search for information on governments web sites is a good option too, I've used these sites for some homework a few times.
Mmmm,
I'm not sure if I have a constant question in my head about something special, but, I think that if there's a topic that makes a lot of noise on me and makes me look for information as much as I can find, it's all about universe, you know like, the cliché questions like "are there another kinda lives out there?", or "are we alone in all this?", but also, I really enjoy searching information about astronomy, constellations, parallel universes, and somethings about physics referring to all this topics. I usually find this information in podcast, documentaries, Youtube videos and books.

ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I prefer to look for information on the internet, I think is the easiest way nowadays, but its extremely important to be careful about the website you are visiting, as many of you know, internet is a whole world of information, including fake information. So, when I look for information I am constantly checking the URL, and some sources. But before visiting a website, I prefer to check out in Google Scholar, some PDFs, thesis, or approved documents.
Also I prefer to read ebooks or books in my home, even in the library near my home or of the university. But that's when I have more time to search for information or even to read the whole book. Definitely I have had some typical but at the same time difficult questions to answer as any human like "Why do we exist?, Is time travel possible?, How did it all begin?, Is there other intelligent life in the universe?". And. I would say I didn't get an specific answer but I get a close response about this questions that to the great Stephen Hawking, so Yes, I enjoy reading and when I have too much time I try to be more informed.

ReplyDeleteWhen I look for information before the pandemic starts I prefer to search in books or encyclopedia because usually my teachers told us a recommendations for the investigations and I could go to the library at the FESA.
Now I find the information in internet because it's faster and I can found pdfs or pages who can help me with the information that I need, the disadvantage is that that pages aren't certaintly, that's the reason that I prefer to look into the oficial pages with terminations org.
